Plans & Limits
Vaanam offers three plans. The Free plan is the default on sign-up. Essential and Pro require a paid subscription.

Contest bots don't count toward your Max Bots limit — you can always enter the weekly championship regardless of how many bots you already have.

Usage Resets
- Backtests per day resets at midnight ET (US Eastern Time)
- All other limits (screeners, alerts, baskets) are cumulative — they don't reset daily
Subscription Management
Subscriptions are managed through Dodo Payments. Both monthly and yearly billing cycles are available.
Upgrading
- Click Upgrade from the pricing page or when prompted at a plan limit
- You'll be redirected to the Dodo Payments checkout page
- On successful payment, your plan is upgraded immediately
Managing Your Subscription
Click Manage Subscription in your account settings to:
- View billing history
- Update payment method
- Switch between monthly and yearly billing
- Cancel your subscription
This opens the Dodo Payments customer portal.
Cancellation
When you cancel:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
- After expiry, your account reverts to Free plan limits immediately
- Existing saved data (strategies, screeners, baskets) is retained, but you may not be able to create new ones if you exceed Free plan limits
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, your subscription may be placed on hold. Access may be restricted until the payment issue is resolved. Update your payment method in the customer portal to restore access.
What Happens When You Hit a Limit?
- The UI shows an upgrade prompt explaining which limit was reached
- The action is blocked server-side — you cannot exceed limits by bypassing the UI
- Existing data is never deleted when downgrading; you just can't create new items beyond the limit
